This course utilizes Exemplar Global certified training materials and presented in partnership with Centerfield Consulting and the Indiana Manufacturer’s Association.     • Understand the application of the principles, procedures and techniques of auditing
    • The conduct of an effective audit in the context of the auditee’s organizational situation
    • Personal attributes necessary for the effective and efficient conduct of a management system audit

DAY 3 (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

  • Mock Audit
  • Lead Auditing
    • Establish, plan and task the activities of an audit team
    • Communicate effectively with the auditee and audit client
    • Organize and direct audit team members
    • Prevent and resolve conflict with the auditee and/or within the audit team

Day 4 (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

  • Course Overview
  • Environmental Management Systems
    • Understand the application of environmental management principles
    • Understand the application of environmental science and technology
    • Understand the application of environmental systems to different operational processes
    • Assess the risk of significant environmental aspects and impacts identified in the context of the organization’s EMS management system
    • Assess the effectiveness of methodologies to control environmental hazards
    • Understand the requirements of ISO 14001:2015
    • Operational control & legal compliance
    • Assess the EMS roles and responsibilities within the context of the organizational environment
    • Determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the EMS
  • Evaluations; retesting as necessary

DAY 5 (tbd: MAXIMUM 8:00 am – 12:00 pm)

  • Evaluations; re-testing as necessary. Note: there is no final exam. Competencies are tested throughout the course.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Stacy Foret is Principal-in-Charge of Centerfield Consulting and Associates, L.L.C. headquartered in New Orleans, LA offering management system consulting and custom designed tools to support continual improvement and grow high performance health, safety, environmental and quality cultures. Stacy is an accomplished professional, instructor and presenter with over 25 years of health, safety, environmental, quality and security experience in government, chemical manufacturing and bulk liquid terminal operations. She has a demonstrated record of success designing, implementing, auditing and improving management systems utilizing processes that master continual improvement through employee engagement.

Stacy is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), Board of Environmental, Health and Safety Auditor Certification (BEAC) and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In addition to consulting, Stacy is an:

  • Instructor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, RC 14001, and RCMS; and
  • Lead Auditor for ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, RC 14001, RCMS and SEMS.

Since starting the consulting business in 2012, Stacy has conducted over 100 onsite management system audits for an international registrar totaling over 300 days in diverse industries ranging from chemical manufacturing, mining, steel production, ship building to national park resorts. She is an engaging instructor and presenter bringing real operations experience to the classroom.

Stacy has worked throughout North America and in the Middle East. Stacy is a former student of Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Marine Science. She is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Algiers and has been active in the community working with “Each One Save One” and Habitat for Humanity.
