At BCA Environmental Consultants, our people are the foundation of everything we do. This month, we’re excited to spotlight Peyton Moyer, a Project Manager based in our Goshen, Indiana office.
Having been with BCA for nearly 2.5 years, Peyton brings a passion for environmental stewardship, a commitment to continual learning, and a collaborative approach to every project she manages.
A Passion for Protecting People and the Environment
Peyton’s interest in the environmental field began long before her professional career.
“I studied environmental science in college, so I knew I wanted to be in this field for a while,” Peyton explains. “I grew up in a home that really prioritized sustainability in everyday life, and I think it played a big role in shaping my passion for the environment.”
That passion continues to drive her work today. Whether helping clients navigate environmental compliance requirements or supporting projects that improve environmental performance, Peyton enjoys knowing her work contributes to safer workplaces and a healthier planet.
The Value of Humility and Lifelong Learning
When asked about the most important lesson she’s learned throughout her career, Peyton points to the importance of staying humble and remaining open to learning.
“The more I learn, the more I realize how much I still have to learn,” she says. “I always want to be a listener and a learner. The first step is recognizing that there is always more to understand.”
Peyton credits much of her professional growth to the mentors and supervisors who have invested in her development throughout her career.
“I’ve been fortunate to learn from humble leaders who teach with patience and compassion, and that’s had a lasting impact on me.”
A Culture of Collaboration
Peyton describes BCA’s culture in three words:
Collaborative. Evolving. Challenging.
She appreciates the opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable professionals who continuously support one another while helping clients solve complex environmental challenges.
Finding Fascination in Complex Facilities
One of the most interesting types of facilities Peyton has worked with is ethanol plants.
“It’s fascinating to see how corn grown all around us becomes fuel and other products that people use every day,” she explains. “The water treatment and discharge systems are especially interesting because of how complex and important they are to the operation.”
Her curiosity and eagerness to understand how facilities operate continue to make her a valuable partner to both clients and teammates.
Thank You, Peyton
We are grateful for Peyton’s dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to helping clients achieve their environmental goals. Her passion for learning and serving others reflects the values that help make BCA a trusted partner across the industries we serve.
Thank you, Peyton, for everything you do to help our clients and communities do it right.
